The eligibility criteria for participating in TATA TiE Stree Shakti Awards ‘09 were:

•    The applicant must be a citizen of India and the organization should be based in India i.e. organizations with a registered address and who conducts business/has operations in India

•    The applicant should have employed a minimum of 3 individuals (excluding self)
•    The applicant should have completed minimum 18 years of age as on January 01, 2009
•    The organization should have completed minimum 1 year in operations as on March 31, 2009
•    These businesses should fall under the following categories:

o    MICRO: Rs 1 lakh > Rs 10 lakh turnover
o    SMALL: Rs 10 lakh > Rs 2 crore turnover
o    MEDIUM: Rs 2 crore > Rs 25 crore turnover
